What does a business coach do?
A business coach will identify the strengths and weaknesses within the business. Once identified, its easy to map out a strategic plan for success both for the individuals and the overall results of the business.
The business coach achieves this by coaching the employee on what they are trying to achieve, what they are trying to avoid and what is getting in the way? Eg. Internal or external blocks that could be holding them back. The employee will probably not want to admit their professional or personal challenges to their manager for fear of consequences. This gives the coach an advantage over the manager enabling the Coachee to be open an honest with their coach due to the safe space he or she provides. The Coachee doesn’t need to be concerned with ridicule or intimidation or getting into trouble or feeling any shame or blame.
The coach will focus their attention on the future potential of the employee whereas the manager usually focuses on the past performance.
